  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Lehmann does, however, make no apologies for who and what she is. The Switzerland international enjoys looking good - even when sweating it out in her day job. She is also a forward-thinking player that can focus her efforts on being creative.

  • WHAT ALISHA LEHMANN SAID

With that in mind, Lehmann has told the @Small Talk podcast from Juventus’ official YouTube channel: “I’m a girly girl and I always like to do my nails. I’m not a full-back, I don’t have to do throw-ins or anything! But people are actually overrating the situation, because it doesn’t change anything if I have nails.”

    DID YOU KNOW?

Lehmann added on the criticism that she can attract, and why she often uses it as motivation: “People always hate that I wear makeup when I play, but I don’t know what the problem is because I don’t hurt anybody. What’s the problem? And I’m a girly girl. I can also play without, but it’s becoming my thing.

“And sometimes now, I enjoy when they’re angry. Because I feel like now I put more lipstick on because of you saying that you didn’t like it. So now it’s your fault. I’m not hurting anyone. It’s just my thing and I’ve always done it.”
