Done Deal: Orlando Pirates' talented youngster Mofokeng joins Chiefs on loan in surprise move

Tefo Mofokeng, who is commonly known as Chippa, has been doing well for Orlando Pirates' junior team.

He joined Pele Pele FC - coached by former Bucs and Senegal star Issa Sarr from Stars of Africa in 2022.

The youngster has been a hit in the ABC Motsepe League, Gauteng Division.

His skill attracted the Botswana outfit Mochudi Centre Chiefs SC who are playing in the country's top-flight tier.

They see the winger as a player who can help them get goals and provide assists to help them challenge for the title.

He is an intelligent and versatile player with a high work-rate.

Chiefs are currently fifth on the table with 30 points from 17 games, just six less than leaders Township Rollers.

The player is set to play in Botswana for the remainder of the season.

Mofokeng hopes to command a starting berth regularly in Botswana.

If he consistently delivers for Chiefs and helps them get top positions and probably the title, Pirates coach Jose Riveiro might promote him to the senior team.
