Cisse and Pulisic, Milan suffer late on but win 2-1 away to Genoa

Milan beat Genoa 2-1 at Marassi on matchday 11 of Serie A. Cisse and Pulisic struck early for the visitors before Ellertsson pulled one back for the hosts late on. Ruben Amorim's AC Milan came into the match after a derby win over Inter, but also a disappointing home defeat to Ferencvaros in the Europa League. Daniele De Rossi's Genoa had won three consecutive league matches before facing Milan.

Within 20 minutes, Milan were two goals up through Cisse and Pulisic, helped in part by errors from the Genoa defence. The hosts threatened Maignan's goal towards the end of the first half, but clear chances were scarce for both sides through most of an evenly matched second half. Genoa pushed forward in the final minutes and Ellertsson scored, then kept Amorim's side under pressure until the 97th minute. Milan move up to 24 points in the table, while Genoa remain on 13.
