  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Sinethemba Badela was given the mandate to help Chippa United realise their set objectives for the 2025/26 season.

However, things did not work as planned as the team registered three losses and a draw in the opening four PSL games.

Rumours have it that he was fired after refusing to give the green light for the club to sign some players who are now shining elsewhere while his team was struggling.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Luc Eymael replaced Badela with his first assignment coming last Sunday against Orlando Pirates.

The Buccaneers had a field day, eventually putting three, without reply, past their hosts to further extend their woes.

After five games, the Chilli Boys are at the bottom of the PSL table with a point from five outings, prompting the club to make more changes in the technical team.

The club has now officially unveiled Eymael as their new head coach.
