Ashley du Preez has been doing relatively well for Kaizer Chiefs since joining from Stellenbosch in the 2022/23 season.
However, injuries have not made his career at Amakhosi smooth, but when fit, he is among the best in the Premier Soccer League.

Du Preez was linked with a move to European teams, but Chiefs were not ready to lose him.
They handed him a two-year extension as they continue re-building their team.
The former Stellenbosch player has now made a huge promise to the Glamour Boys.

WHAT DU PREEZ SAID
“As a player, you always play for a better contract. I am happy at the club," he said after getting a new deal.
"They have renewed me for two years, so I am pleased to be here for another two years. For those two years, I want to score more goals.
"I want to reach 20 plus goals; that's my aim for the two years I am going to spend here," De Preez concluded.

Du Preez has scored three PSL goals this season after missing a good number of games owing to injuries and competition.
