    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Back in 2001, Adriano senior linked up with Serie A heavyweights at San Siro. He would go on to become a cult hero at Inter courtesy of his hammer of a left foot and the many spectacular goals that he scored – with the target being found on 73 occasions in total through 163 appearances.

    Adriano won three leagues titles in Italy, across two stints with the Nerazzurri, but saw his professional spark fizzle out almost as quickly as it had been lit. He registered 27 goals for Brazil while winning 48 caps for his country.
