Liga Nacional Overview

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has warned his team-mates that their current defensive form is "not sustainable" following a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Fenerbahce. The Reds surrendered a late lead in Istanbul, conceding three times from set-pieces to mark a historically poor run in European competition.

Enzo Maresca has heaped praise on Erling Haaland after the Norwegian striker secured a hard-fought 3-2 Champions League win over RB Leipzig. Despite a quiet evening in terms of general involvement, the forward delivered when it mattered most to ensure the Premier League side left Germany with maximum points.

Rasmus Hojlund has openly contradicted Massimiliano Allegri following Napoli's heavy Champions League defeat against Porto on Wednesday evening. The Danish striker insisted the entire football club must take responsibility for their poor form, describing the current situation as a very dark place.

Harry Kane admitted he would be lying if he said he did not want to win at least one Champions League title before his new FC Bayern contract ends in 2029. The striker insisted that competing for Europe's biggest trophy made his decision to extend simple.
