<p><a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/wrexham-steven-fletcher-phil-parkinson-side-promotion-boost-late-winner-against-blackpool-paul-mullin-sensational-volley/bltbb12bbad1a0e1209" target="_blank">Wrexham then went on to claim all three points</a> on Thursday thanks to Steven Fletcher's late penalty as the Red Dragons stayed within two points of second-placed Wycombe Wanderers and three adrift of table-toppers Birmingham City. That was also Mullin's first League One goal for more than two months, with his sole goal of the campaign coming away to Rotherham United on November 19.</p>

<p>Mullin will hope to be on the scoresheet again when his Wrexham side round off 2024 with a home clash on Sunday against Wigan Athletic.</p>
