FC Schweinfurt Overview

With the MTN8 concluding over the weekend, South African football now shifts it's focus to the second domestic cup as the fixtures for the Carling Knockout Cup Round of 32 have been revealed after the official draw on Wednesday night.

The Winelands-based side's coach has delivered a sobering assessment of his team’s title credentials, effectively ruling out a challenge for the top spots this season. Following a hard-fought draw against Kaizer Chiefs, the veteran tactician admitted that the financial might and squad depth of the league's frontrunners have created an insurmountable gap.

The Glamour assistant coach has broken his silence on the tactical choices that saw the Glamour Boys field an unusually defensive line-up in their latest outing. The decision has sparked debate among the Amakhosi faithful after the side failed to secure all three points in a frustrating home encounter.

Amakhosi's assistant coach has delivered a scathing assessment of the club's current form, labelling their recent run of results as simply not good enough for a team of their stature. The Soweto giants were forced to share the spoils once again following a frustrating 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC at FNB Stadium on Tuesday evening.
