Kaizer Chiefs winger William Twala in talks with Maritzburg United

Kaizer Chiefs winger William Twala could spend the remainder of the 2017/18 PSL campaign on loan at Maritzburg United

According to the player's agent, Tim Sukazi, talks for a potential loan deal between the two parties are ongoing and things look promising at this stage.

Sukazi further confirmed that Twala was once considered in a deal which saw Amakhosi sign Siphelele Ntshangase from Baroka, but that never materialized.

“He [Twala] was once considered for that but as I understand it has fallen through,” Sukazi told Phakaaathi.

“Players need to play, everyone is looking for game time, and he is no exception to that,” Sukazi added.

“We have been talking to Maritzburg potentially on a loan basis, and that is still under consideration. It sounds promising, but we will see whether it will happen,” he concluded.

Goal understands and reported in December 2017 that Twala rejected a possible move to Free State Stars, as Chiefs were looking to bring Sinethemba Jantjie on board.

Twala finds himself down the pecking order under Steve Komphela with only six appearances to his name so far this season.

He hasn't featured since Amakhosi's 2-1 loss to Baroka FC on September 30.

Twala is in the final six months of his current contract with the Glamour Boys,
