'Job done' - Kane delivers verdict on England's drab win

Harry Kane was pleased to get the "job done" against Andorra despite a sluggish performance from the Three Lions in World Cup qualifying. The 2-0 scoreline looked routine on paper, but the performance from Thomas Tuchel’s men was anything but inspiring. Still, the mission was accomplished, with the Three Lions now boasting four wins from four qualifiers in Group K.

'3 my boy' - Palmer's cryptic comment on Mainoo social media post

Cole Palmer dropped a cryptic comment on England team-mate Kobbie Mainoo's social media post as the Chelsea star hinted that he wants the young midfielder to be 'freed' by Manchester United. Mainoo pushed for a temporary summer move away from Old Trafford after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim, however, United did not entertain his plea as he remained at the club.

England hit by injury blow as Stones pulls out of squad

England have been dealt a blow ahead of their upcoming World Cup qualifiers after Manchester City defender John Stones was forced to withdraw from the squad due to injury. The 31-year-old, who was back in the national setup for the first time under new head coach Thomas Tuchel, will now miss both fixtures against Andorra and Serbia. His absence continues a difficult run of fitness concerns.

Former Liverpool midfielder and Match of The Day pundit Danny Murphy has admitted to losing millions of pounds after falling victim to an investment scam. Murphy is among up to 200 players who invested with Kingsbridge Asset Management in the 1990s and 2000s. The ex-England international claims that the huge financial loss and embarrassment from the scandal drove him to alcohol, drugs and gambling.

Loftus-Cheek recalled to England squad after six-year absence

Former Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been recalled to the England national team squad after Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton sustained an injury. Loftus-Cheek's last call-up came six years ago, but he ended up withdrawing from that March 2019 camp. He has not played for his country since making a substitute appearance against the United States in November 2018.
