A British press report on Saturday lifted the lid on Jose Mourinho's second spell at Real Madrid.
Florentino Perez signed the Portuguese for one reason: to end Barcelona's stranglehold on Spanish football over the past two seasons.
According to British newspaper "The Athletic", sources close to Mourinho confirmed he is bursting with enthusiasm about starting a second coaching stint at the Bernabeu.
Those same sources say the Portuguese feels he has an excellent staff to work alongside the people already in Madrid, plus a fine squad to build his new project around.
His commitment has been total. Mourinho has slept at the training complex on several occasions to make sure he dedicates enough time to every task he wants to complete.
He has got across every detail in every department, just as he liked to do during his first spell. He did the same at Benfica last season, occasionally bedding down at their training ground.
Real Madrid's season kicks off on Saturday evening against Espanyol in La Liga.
