The former Sporting Kansas City utility player got the first goal of the 2017 MLS season in Friday night's opener, finishing off a cross to put the Portland Timbers up on Minnesota United in the 14th minute.

Olum also gets to forever be the answer to a sports trivia questions as he becomes the first player to net an MLS goal against Minnesota United. 

The defender's lead at the at the top of the scoring charts only lasted until just after the break, however, with Portland adding a second through a much more likely scoring combination. 

Sebastian Blanco played provider for Diego Valeri in the 47th, sending in a cross for his fellow Argentine to head home. 

Valeri would add another later in the half from the penalty spot, and Fanendo Adi netted twice late to give Portland a 5-1 win, with Christian Ramirez scoring the only goal of the night for Minnesota United.
