Gareth Southgate's men are just 1/5 (1.20) to get the better of Czech Republic, Montenegro, Bulgaria and Kosovo and secure their place in the finals

While several Euro 2020 qualification groups look tricky to call with any degree of certainty, Group A doesn't fall into that category.

England are just 1/5 (1.20) with 888Sport to top the section, ensuring a place at next summer's finals in the process.

Gareth Southgate's men also have a chance of winning the Nations League in Portugal to come, which would also guarantee their spot at the tournament which takes place across the continent.

Even if the Three Lions fail in their pursuit of that title though, the bookmakers don't expect the 2018 World Cup fourth-place finishers to struggle in the conventional qualification process.

Southgate's side are unbeaten in their last 18 matches in qualifying for this competition, winning the previous 10 in a row. Spearheaded by Harry Kane, who has plundered 15 goals in his last 17 starts for the national side, England look worthy favourites for Group A and it’s tough to find a reason to oppose them.

Czech Republic come next in the betting at 5/1 (6.0). Having finished second in their Nations League B Group, Jaroslav Silhavy's men will need to improve on their recent performances if they're to finish top of the table.

Bulgaria are priced at 30/1 (31.0) with Montenegro just behind Petar Hubchev's side at 33/1 (34.0) with 888Sport.

The betting suggests the lower half of the section will be competitive as Kosovo round off Group A at 40/1 (41.0) in the outright betting.

England and Czech Republic have the chance to put down an early marker when they meet at Wembley on Friday. The Three Lions are 3/10 (1.30) to start their campaign with three points with the visitors priced at 13/1 (14.0) to spring a shock.

Having fallen short in the final stages in Russia, 888Sport go 9/1 (10.0) about England winning Euro 2020. The market currently has 5/1 (6.0) joint-favourites in the form of the previous two World Cup winners France and Germany.
