Collymore helps cops arrest Russia 'hooligan'

Former footballer Stan Collymore was caught up in violence between English, Welsh and Russian fans on Wednesday.

The former player turned broadcaster followed fans through the centre of Lille ahead of England's game against Wales on Thursday, streaming the events on Periscope, and witnessed a clash between Russian fans and English and Welsh supporters who had united.

Collymore witnessed a Russian fan throw a projectile, kick-starting the violence, and aided the French police in arresting the culprit, before officers used tear gas to disperse the supporters.

  Collymore has followed English fans throughout the tournament thus far, and his video has been retweeted more than 5,000 times on Twitter to date.
