WATCH: Ryan Gravenberch puts Liverpool ahead with long-distance strike against Newcastle at St James' Park

'Isak is a rat' shirts were sold outside the ground before kick-off as Magpies fans eagerly anticipated their side getting stuck into the defending Premier League champions. But with Gravenberch's goal and Anthony Gordon's reckless red card before the break, things looked less rosy for the Toon heading into the second 45.

After this enticing clash, Liverpool host title rivals Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, whereas Carabao Cup holders Newcastle travel to newly promoted Leeds United the day before.
