Following their remarkable Olympic Gold Medal win in Paris, U.S. women’s national team head coach Emma Hayes has already revealed that she has much bigger plans for the entire system. The former Chelsea boss, who won multiple WSL titles with the Blues, has her sights set on redefining and refocusing the entire women’s football ecosystem in America. To do so, Hayes set up the Futures Camp in January, which ran simultaneously with the senior team’s training camp.
That was showcased in the latest Behind the Crest episode with U.S. Soccer, where Hayes revealed that this was just the first step in a long term plan that she has for the players and the future of the USWNT.
