Weston McKennie, the maestro! USMNT star provides two spectacular assists to lead Juventus to Coppa Italia rout of Frosinone

It was the Arkadisz Milik show throughout Juve's lopsided win, with the veteran striker scoring three times in the first 48 minutes to lead the club to the Coppa Italia semifinals. The striker's first came in the 11th minute as he smashed home a penalty kick after Fabio Miretti was bumped down in the box. The second, though, was all down to McKennie, whose picture-perfect cross landed right where Milik needed it to be to make it 2-0 in the 38th minute.

The Polish striker then made it three in the 48th minute, netting his first Juventus hat-trick in the process. He seemingly had a fourth shortly after, but the goal was called back due to an offside call. It was no matter, though, as McKennie provided another spectacular assist to ensure Juve did get their fourth. The second was arguably better than the first, as the USMNT midfielder found Kenan Yildiz to continue the Juve rout.

With the win, Juventus move into the semifinals of the Coppa Italia, where they'll face Lazio in April. Fiorentina and Atalanta await on the other side of the bracket, with the latter being responsible for knocking Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah and AC Milan out of the competition on Wednesday.

With the win, Juventus also extended an unbeaten run dating back to September, with their last loss coming on September 23 against Sassuolo. As a result, Juve, who aren't competing in Europe this season, find themselves second in Serie A and in the final four of the Coppa Italia.

McKennie has been hailed as Juventus' player of the season so far, and his performance on Thursday will only add more fuel for anyone ready to praise his massive resurgence this year. The assist to Milik was picture-perfect and will serve as the headlining moment of the win. His pass to Yildiz was just as good if not better, with McKennie embracing his inner maestro to create two of Juve's four goals on the day.

It was a complete performance from McKennie, who proved he's more than just an energy option in midfield. He also has plenty to offer technically, and Juve are now seeing the best of him with his confidence fully restored. In addition to his two assists, McKennie completed 80 percent of his passes, won two duels and had one shot on target in the big win.

Got forward as usual and was somewhat dangerous when Juve attacked. Couldn't quite create a moment of magic, though, before being taken out midway through the second half.

Sitting two points behind league-leaders Inter at the top of the league, Juve will turn their focus back toward Serie A when they play host to Sassuolo on Tuesday. After that, they'll travel away from Turin to face Lecce on January 21.
