    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The venue is in St Paul's, and the Mail report that the cost of renting it for such a dispute could reach £250,000 - provided it lasts the expected 10 weeks. City could be relegated if they are found guilty on multiple counts, and Pep Guardiola has previously said the club will respect whatever ruling is handed down.

City's lawyers are reported to have arrived first; Lord Pannick KC is leading their defence and arrived in a sky blue tie. Premier League lawyers did not enter through the front door at the venue, which has previously played host to hearings surrounding the Post Office scandal and attempts from LIV golfers to continue playing in the European Tour.
