Banyana Banyana learn their next opponent in 2023 Women's World Cup knockout phase

Banyana Banyana became the second African team to make it to the knockout phase of the ongoing Women's World Cup co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

Nigeria's Super Falcons were the first African team to advance to the Round of 16 after finishing behind leaders the Matildas in Group B.

This is just Banyana's second World Cup in their history; they made their debut in France in 2019 but were eliminated in the group stage after losing their three matches.
