Sir Jim Ratcliffe & INEOS shakes things up! Man Utd reshuffle sees Sir Dave Brailsford take backseat at Old Trafford after failed season

Per The Times, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to reshape United's boardroom personnel, with Brailsford set to take a step back. He will return to his old job, as director of sport at INEOS, and move away from the role of head of football operations at Old Trafford.

Ratcliffe credits Brailsford with transforming the performance set-up at Old Trafford but he will return to overseeing INEOS' investment in their cycling team, as well as in Nice, after United failed to qualify for Europe. They finished 15th in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham.

United are already spending money this summer and have secured a deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves, while they are also reported to be interested in signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, who is keen on making the move.

It remains to be seen if Ratcliffe will look to replace Brailsford with a new body, or merely continue without him being so hands-on.
