    WHAT HAPPENED?

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker and Zambia international Collins Mbesuma believes he is the man to solve the goal crisis at the Premier Soccer League side.

Mbesuma, who featured for Amakhosi between 2004 and 2005, also revealed his admiration for the club and said he has the necessary experience to help end the goal crisis.

    WHAT MBESUMA SAID

"A PSL club? Of course, Khosi for Life. At my peak, I could be solving their current goal-scoring crisis. I’m a striker's coach, you know, so I'm available to help any team," Mbesuma told KickOff.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

A lack of a lethal striker is one of the concerns that head coach Nabi raised last season.

Glody Lilepo was trusted to lead the goal-hunting mission, but again, he was not as lethal as compared to other PSL attackers like Iqraam Rayners and Lucas Ribeiro of Mamelodi Sundowns.

Tashreeq Morris has struggled since he joined the Glamour Boys, and Nabi looks to have lost trust in him. At times, Wandile Duba was thrown into the deep end due to a lack of options for attackers at Amakhosi.

To challenge for titles, Nabi knows he must have a promising attacking department that must be led by an equally tried and tested coach.

    WHAT NEXT FOR MBESUMA?

After he has revealed his desire to work for his former club, eyes will be keen to see whether Chiefs will extend an offer and bring him on board.

His experience and output during his playing time in the PSL are advantages that can be exploited by a club in need to sharpen their attackers.
