PSL confirm 2025/26 schedule, including Carling Knockout, CAF Champions League, Nedbank Cup dates, and details for MTN8 semi-final draw

The Premier Soccer League has confirmed a comprehensive programme for the 2025/26 season, including dates for the Nedbank Cup, MTN8 draw, and Carling Knockout matches.

According to the league-managing body, the MTN8 semi-final draw will take place on Sunday after the quarter-final clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Richards Bay FC at Lucas Moripe Stadium. 

PSL also gave a detailed procedure on how the MTN8 draw will be conducted. 

One bowl will be used for the draw, containing four balls (with the names of each semi-finalist). The first ball out will be the home team in the first fixture.

The second ball will be the away team in the first fixture. The third ball out will be the home team in the second fixture. 

The fourth ball will be the away team in the second fixture. Both semi-final ties will consist of two (2) legs played on a home and away basis.

The first leg of the MTN8 semi-final will be staged on August 16 and August 23. The final showdown will be played on Saturday, September 13.

PSL has also indicated alternative dates for the teams that will be taking part in the CAF competitions.

The PSL also revealed how the Carling Knockout games have been spread, with the Round of 16 outings set to be played on Saturday, 04 October 2025. 

The quarter-final games have been scheduled for Saturday, 25 October 2025, while the semi-finals will be played on Saturday, 08 November.

The final will be staged on Saturday, 06 December. 

The Nedbank Cup campaign will see its Round of 32 set to be played on Wednesday, 04 February 2026; Saturday, 07 February; and Tuesday, 10 February.

The Round of 16 will take place on Saturday, 21 February, while the quarter-final is set for Saturday, 07 March. 

The semi-finals and final will be staged on Saturday, 04 April, and Saturday, 02 May, respectively.
