After leaving Chelsea in the summer of 2023, the Gabon international joined Marseille where he exhibited exceptional form scoring 30 goals across all competitions for the club including 17 in Ligue 1. His impressive performance for the French giants has caught the eye of Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab, who are reportedly keen on signing the striker, according to L’Équipe.

Foot Mercato, however, claims that despite the Saudi Arabian club's interest, it is unlikely that the ex-Barcelona player would head to the Middle East this summer as he is happy to see out the remaining two years on his Marseille contract.

The 34-year-old netted 10 times in the Europa League this season which made him the competition's highest-ever goalscorer with 62 strikes to his name in 34 appearances.

The attacker will be next seen in action for his national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers as Gabon face Ivory Coast and Gambia on June 7 and June 11 respectively.
