  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Bafana Bafana are the favourites, alongside Nigeria who have not had a good campaign so far, to make it out of Group C,

The Hugo Broos-led team have seven points in the pool alongside Rwanda and Benin.

Despite their massive quality, Oswin Appollis is not anticipating a walk in the park against minnows like Lesotho and the likes.

He argues they come out 'guns blazing' hoping to get something from the match.

    WHAT APPOLLIS SAID

“It will be a very difficult game. Lesotho are a very hard-running team with a lot of fighters,” the Polokwane City winger said ahead of the game.

“Our preparations have gone well; as South Africans we are always ready to put in the work. Everyone wants to beat South Africa and comes out guns blazing.

“Everywhere we have been the fans have come to the stadium, and I have no doubt in Polokwane they will come and support us at Friday’s match,” Appollis concluded.
