    Greenwood has made an emphatic start to his career at Marseille, scoring twice in a commanding 5-1 victory over Brest in the opening match of the Ligue 1 season. The former Manchester United striker wasted no time in making his mark, netting his first goal just three minutes into the match. Twenty-seven minutes later, Greenwood doubled his tally, silencing critics and showcasing the undeniable talent that had once made him a rising star in English football.

    Despite the controversy surrounding Greenwood's arrival, including protests from fans and opposition from the mayor of Marseille, De Zerbi remained resolute in his belief that Greenwood could be a key player for the club. And the Italian has once again backed the player before the media.

    When asked about Greenwood's margin for improvement, De Zerbi told reporters: "How far can Mason Greenwood go with me? I don't know. He has to keep training like he does.     The former Brighton manager further added: "Greenwood is simply exceptional. He is an excellent player, and it shows. I am happy to see him score to put an end to all the controversy in the media."

    Greenwood is expected to make his home debut at Stade Velodrome against Stade de Reims on Sunday.
