Onana stoked the fires before the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie, saying the Red Devils were 'way better' than their French rivals, leading to a pre-game war of words with ex-United midfielder Nemanja Matic. It appears Onana's teammates took umbrage with that with suggestions the Cameroonian number one tempted fate with his comments.
An unnamed insider at Old Trafford told The Sun: "Some of the players are really p*ssed off with him. You tempt fate when you say things like he did and then you end up looking silly if it comes back and bites you. Some wonder if it’s time for Altay Bayindir to be given a go."

WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?
The fallout from Onana's antics and performances will be felt when United take on Newcastle on Sunday. It could well be Bayindir between the sticks, which will lead to an inevitable debate over Onana's position for the second leg of the Europa League tie on Thursday.
