Man Utd eye ambitious bid for PSG midfielder as Luis Enrique eager to keep star player with Al-Nassr ready to pounce

Ruiz is attracting interest from top clubs after a fantastic season with PSG. According to Footmercato, United and Al-Nassr are among the clubs keen on signing the Spanish midfielder, but Les Parisiens are reluctant to part ways with the player Enrique considers essential.

The former Napoli midfielder enjoyed a standout 2024-25 season, winning four titles with PSG - Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the Champions League and the Trophee des Champions. He played 58 matches in all competitions, 43 as a starter, and contributed six goals and 11 assists. His chemistry with team-mates Joao Neves and Vitinha made PSG’s midfield one of the strongest in Europe.

The 29-year-old was a finalist in the 2025 Nations League with Spain and had previously stood out as one of La Roja’s top performers alongside Rodri at Euro 2024. Despite past differences, Enrique now sees Ruiz as one of PSG’s most complete and reliable midfielders.

The report adds that the Ligue 1 giants intend to keep Ruiz and continue building around their midfield trio. The club may soon begin talks to extend his current deal, which runs until 2027. Any interested suitors including Man United and Al-Nassr will need to make a compelling case to convince both PSG and the player.
