Mamelodi Sundowns beat Al Ahly to set up African Football League final showdown with Wydad Casablanca

Mamelodi Sundowns survived a late scare in their African Football League semi-final against Al Ahly as the Video Assistant Referee was called into action for the first time in this tie.

Sphelele Mkhulise's handball was the bone of contention as he handled the ball right on the edge of the box, but VAR ruled that the transgression was outside.

In the end, Sundowns marched on to the AFL final after beating Al Ahly 1-0 over two-legs as they managed to protect Thapelo Maseko's sole goal which he scored in the first-leg. Sundowns will meet Moroccan rivals Wydad Casablanca in the two-legged final.

GOAL gives you the details of how Sundowns reached the final.
