Liverpool plotting £40m move for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez as Arne Slot seeks Andy Robertson replacement

Per The Telegraph, the Reds will go after Kerkez in the summer, for whom Bournemouth are expected to demand a fee in the region of £40 million ($50m). The Merseyside club have identified the young full-back as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson. Robertson, who has been key figure in the Reds' defence since 2017, will see his existing contract expire in the summer of 2026.

The then-Bournemouth sporting director Robert Hughes played an important role in bringing Kerkez to Vitality Stadium from AZ in 2023. Hughes is in a similar role at Anfield and has been working closely with manager Arne Slot on transfer activities since last summer.

Arne Slot has enjoyed success in his maiden campaign at Liverpool as under his tutelage they are now firm favourites to win the Premier League title. The Dutch coach has already started planning for next season and is eyeing a few key transfers in the summer to bolster his squad.

Slot's men will be back in action on Wednesday night as they take on Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 fixture.
