Lionesses star Millie Bright reveals she 'cannot wait to be back out there' as Chelsea boss Emma Hayes provides injury recovery update

    Bright, 30, has been absent since November with a knee injury but has recently taken to her personal social media account to explain how excited she is to make a return to playing. The defender has been limited to a role on the sidelines, as her team-mates continue to dominate the Women's Super League. Chelsea currently sit at the top of the table on 40 points, three points clear of Manchester City in second.

    Taking to her personal Instagram account, Bright posted a photo of herself and her teammates Guro Reiten and Niamh Charles - with the caption: "I love this club. Cannot wait to be back out there with the girls. Forever a blue."

    Chelsea recently recorded a huge 3-1 win against third place Arsenal in the WSL on Friday. Goals from Lauren James and Sjoeke Nusken proved to be the difference on the evening, with Chelsea boss Emma Hayes explaining after the game that it is unlikely that Bright would return until after the upcoming international break.

    WHAT NEXT FOR BRIGHT?

    Bright will continue her recovery from the knee injury behind the scenes. The Blues are next in action against Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday (March 19) before facing West Ham United next weekend (March 24). The international break will arrive after their clash against Arsenal at the end of the month, with Bright possibly eyeing the game against Manchester United (April 14) as a potential return date.
