'Have Arsenal just won the league?!' - Mikel Arteta slammed for wild celebrations after win over Liverpool as Richard Keys tells Gunners boss to 'have a bit of dignity' in scathing rant

The Gunners outclassed Premier League leaders Liverpool 3-1 on Sunday at Emirates Stadium courtesy of goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. After Trossard netted the third goal, Arteta went crazy with his celebration as he was seen jumping up and down near the touchline.

The Arsenal manager's reaction did not go down well with beIN Sports presenter Keys, as he advised the coach to be more dignified with his reaction next time.

Former Liverpool midfielder Jason McAteer kicked off the debate when jokingly asking Keys on beIN Sports: "Have Arsenal just won the league." To which the former Sky Sports presenter replied: "Well, you see Jason, I have hesitated to this point, but now you've got me. Look, I understand today is worth celebrating - they've beaten one of the big teams and it's critical, the title race has opened up as a result. But I do wish Arteta would, first of all, behave a lot better than he does, he's returned to behaving the way he was persistently last year before the rules were changed to check him and keep him in his dugout."

He added: "And I just wish he would have a little more class about him when Liverpool handed him their second goal. The third one, off he goes again, you've had two presents given to you. I understand. I am checking my criticism, but if you stick one in the top corner to go 2-1 up, OK. But that's a gift. Have a little bit of dignity."

With the win at the Emirates, Arsenal have thrown the Premier League title race wide open. They are now just two points behind Jurgen Klopp's side after 23 matches. Manchester City, on the other hand, are five points behind the league leaders and three behind Arsenal, but have played two games less than the top two teams.

Arsenal are set to face West Ham in a London derby clash next Sunday in the Premier League, while Jurgen Klopp's wounded Liverpool side will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they face Burnley a day earlier.
