FC Cincinnati forward Aaron Boupendza suffers broken jaw in bar altercation - with alleged assailant being professional boxer Quashawn Toler

The Athletic reports that the Gabon international was the victim of a bar altercation earlier this week, where he suffered a broken jaw. The alleged assailant has been named, too, as local professional boxer Quashawn Toler was named in a Police Report obtained.

The forward underwent surgery for the injury earlier this week, and will be out for nearly two months as a result.

Toler has a professional record of 17-2 with 12 knockouts, per the report. He did not respond to a comment from The Athletic, nor did FC Cincinnati.

Boupendza scores the goal that clinched the 2024 MLS Supporters' Shield last season for FCC. He will now be hoping to recover quickly.

Boupendza will look to recover over the next 6-8 weeks, while the story itself develops further.

FCC, meanwhile, are back in action this weekend against Orlando City.
