  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Christian Saile was out of favour at Kaizer Chiefs with many chances falling to Ranga Chivaviro and later on Ashley du Preez.

SuperSport United made a request to replace Tashreeq Morris with Saile.

Amakhosi accepted to release the striker but on a loan deal until the end of the season.

On Tuesday night, Saile made his debut for the Swanky Boys against Magesi FC in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32.

The forward scored his team's second goal, after Vincent Pule's early strike.

Gavin Hunt was left impressed by the 25-year-old, stating he is just what his team needed after the exit of Morris.

    WHAT HUNT SAID

“Obviously when the whole thing came about, he’s different to what we’ve got and we needed something like that,” he stated.

“So, I was obviously sad to see [Tashreeq] Morris go but we got Christian in his place and he’s different, totally different. So, I’ll try and use him to his strength, and we’ll see where he goes.

"We can only show him a few things and try and get him in the right areas and then see where we go from there, but he’s got the right attitude for us.

“I think he’ll fit into our culture. The most important thing is players coming into our culture. You know I don’t want players who are not going to fit into our culture and he’s got our culture; hardworking, honest, and diligent and that’s what we want," Hunt concluded.
