Cristiano Ronaldo tipped to 'follow in the footsteps of Ryan Reynolds at Wrexham' as ex-Man Utd team-mate claims there is 'no better promoter in the world' than CR7

Playing commitments continue to dominate Ronaldo’s thoughts for now, with the Portuguese superstar still going strong at 39 years of age. He is being backed to extend a record-breaking career well into his 40s, but the day will come when history-making boots have to be hung up for the final time.

There has been talk of CR7 moving into coaching at that stage, as he has vast experience to pass on to the next generation, but he may decide to steer clear of the stresses that life on the touchline can bring. He boasts the kind of personal fortune that would allow investment in a sporting venture to be considered.

It has been suggested by some that Ronaldo may be tempted to join Hollywood co-owners Reynolds and McElhenney at Wrexham, with Louis Saha - speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Premier League odds – saying of what may be next for his former Manchester United team-mate: “Cristiano Ronaldo can follow in the footsteps of Ryan Reynolds at Wrexham and he would be a huge success. There is no better promoter in the world than Cristiano and that would work wonders at a football club no matter the level.
