    Portugal will come up against Les Bleus in the quarter-finals of the competition in Germany on Friday. The 39-year-old took to social media to get his team's supporters in the mood for a headline showdown the day before the game.

    The iconic attacker shared an image of the Portugal fans on Instagram and wrote in the caption: "We all were, are and will always be. Believe it!"

    Portugal scraped through to the final eight with a penalty shootout win against Slovenia on Monday. The Al-Nassr star was heavily criticised for his performance in the last-16 after he missed a penalty in extra-time and burst into tears. He admitted after the game: "I was at rock bottom when the team needed me most."
