Columbus Crew goalscoring hero Christian Ramirez reveals that his wife is in labor - as he walks off the pitch following his playoff victory against Orlando City!

At full-time while walking off the pitch, Ramirez informed a camera on the pitch that he was rushing to leave the stadium to go meet his wife! The 32-year-old striker dubbed the events on the night 'incredible' while embracing a Crew staffperson, while making his way towards the tunnel. What a way to celebrate the birth of your child!

Ramirez said, "Get me home to my wife, so she can have our kid... my wife's in labor... or she should be, hopefully! It's incredible."

The Crew are now onto the Eastern Conference Finals - an incredible achievement for Wilfried Nancy in his first year in charge of the club. They knocked off the No. 2 overall seed in the East and played their possession-based game to see it through to the next round. It wasn't an all-time classic by any means, but it was classic Columbus, who did everything right across 120 minutes.

The once capped USMNT striker will now rush to meet his wife, as he looks to meet the newest child in his family. Ramirez, who has played for Minnesota United and LAFC in MLS, will also now advance to the Eastern Conference finals with his club, after his goalscoring heroics put them on the path to success. They'll meet the winner of FC Cincinnati in another rendition of the Hell is Real derby on December 2.
