Carlo Ancelotti enters Real Madrid endgame! Legendary Italian tactician will QUIT Los Blancos at the end of the season

Per Radioestadio Noche on Onda Cero, the Italian coach has made up his mind that he will quit Los Blancos at the end of the current campaign, despite his existing contract running until 2026. Ancelotti renewed his deal in December 2023 despite strong interest from the Brazilian Football Confederation.

Last month, the 65-year-old coach cemented his place as Real Madrid's greatest manager of all time as he won his 15th trophy with Los Blancos after the club's triumph in the Intercontinental Cup in Qatar. The Onda Cero report further reveals that the veteran coach is very happy at the club, but he has made a firm decision to move on after the current season. The manager, though, is unlikely to retire and will manage a national team.

Former Real midfielder Xabi Alonso, who helped Bayer Leverkusen win a historic Bundesliga title last season, has been strongly linked with a move to the Spanish capital and if Ancelotti does quit the job, the Spaniard is the favourite candidate to replace him at the helm.

For now, Ancelotti remains focused on the present season and will be back in Real's dugout on Wednesday as the club host RB Leipzig in a Champions League encounter.
