WHAT HAPPENED?
The Bees have now scored a goal in the opening minute of a match for the third time in a row as they create Premier League history against West Ham by becoming the first side to achieve the feat. Mbeumo broke the deadlock for his side with a brilliant volley from Fabio Carvalho's assist.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Before Saturday's clash, Thomas Frank's side had managed to score first-minute openers against Tottenham and Manchester City in their last two games. However, Brentford eventually lost the clashes 3-1 and 2-1 respectively.
