Beth Mead sends special birthday message to Arsenal women team-mate Alessio Russo - including photo with fur baby Myle that she shares with girlfriend Vivianne Miedema

The Engish forward turned 25 on Thursday and Mead did not forget to wish her on her special day. The duo has forged an incredible friendship over the years which is often reflected in the chemistry they share on the pitch for the Gunners and England.

Mead created a collage of four photos where the duo can be seen partying in two of them. Whereas, in one of them, Russo is celebrating with Mead after scoring in a UEFA Women's Euro 2022 Group A match against Norway and in another, the birthday girl is posing with Myle, an adorable puppy adopted by Mead and Miedema.

Mead penned a heart-warming caption along with the picture that read: "Happy Birthday Lessi Lou 🥳❤️ Have the best day, you lovely human @alessiarusso99 🥰".

Russo's birthday celebrations might have to be a low-key affair as Arsenal are playing on Sunday against Manchester City in a FA Women's Cup fifth-round fixture. However, she will have a break of five days after the weekend commitments as they return to action against Manchester United on February 17 in a WSL fixture.
