According to Marca, the message read: "Coach, Araujo and Raphinha want to speak with you." This unexpected development sent ripples through the press room, particularly given Araujo's recent connections to a potential move to Juventus during the ongoing transfer window.

Amid the swirling transfer rumours, a report from Mundo Deportivo offered clarity on the true reason behind the meeting request. Araujo and Raphinha, as Barcelona’s second and fourth captains respectively, sought the meeting to discuss an internal organizational matter. The request had no connection to the transfer market, alleviating concerns about any imminent departures.

In the same press conference, Flick diplomatically addressed the speculation surrounding Araujo.

“There have always been rumours since I’ve been here. We have to be professional. Ronald is coming back from a tough injury and we have to look after him. He is back and he is very professional.” Flick stated.
