The Bafana skipper made a number of good stops and his match saving effort came in the latter stages of the game as he remained resolute in goal to make sure SA get all three points.

Maela showed his experience and managed to have most of Morocco's attackers in his back pocket.

Innocent Maela - 7/10

Xulu is the most experienced centre-back in the Bafana camp and he showed his big match temperament against Morocco. Even though he conceded a goal, he was an immovable force in Broos' side.

Siyanda Xulu - 7/10

Mvala failed to close down the opponent and as he was far from the player he was tasked to mark, allowing him to find space and score Morocco's consolation goal.

Mothobi Mvala - 5/10

Morena is always expected to make overlapping runs into the opposition's half but in this match, those were few and far between. He was beaten in one-on-one situations a couple of times.

Thapelo Morena - 6/10

He did not chase a lot of shadows in the heart of midfield as he proved to be the bridge between attack and defensive. He impressed on his Bafana debut.

Bathusi Aubaas - 7/10

Mokoena had a solid display for the national team, combining well with the likes of Themba Zwane and Percy Tau. He played a role in Tau's goal before he missed a sitter.

Teboho Mokoena - 7/10

Zwane showed why even at the age of 33 he deserves to be part and parcel of the national team. He was the instigator of Zakhele Lepasa's goal.

Themba Zwane - 8/10

Lepasa might not have played much for his club SuperSport United but he repaid the faith that Broos has invested in him. His goal gave Bafana the cushion.

Zakhele Lepasa - 8/10

Mayambela was always expected to run riot on the left wing and he did exactly that, proving to be a menace for the Atlas Lions. His shot at goal led to Lepasa's goal.

Mihlali Mayambela - 7/10

Tau was at the forefront of most of Bafana's attacks as he forced Morocco's goalkeeper to turn the ball into his own net for South Africa.

Percy Tau - 9/10

Came in too late to get a rating.
