    The England international has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge for much of the summer after Enzo Maresca made it clear that he will not play a part under the new Blues manager in the 2024-25 campaign.

    Urged by the coach to start looking for a new club, Sterling was linked with a move to Manchester United before Arsenal emerged as a possible destination on the final day of the transfer window. According to The Athletic, the Gunners have contacted their London rivals to discuss a temporary switch, with the report adding that Sterling is eager to make the switch and that personal terms will not be a major obstacle for the deal.
