Arsenal eye shock move for veteran Wolves goalkeeper as Mikel Arteta eyes replacement for Aaron Ramsdale

Per The Athletic, the Gunners have approached Wolves over the possible transfer of their goalkeeper Dan Bentley who moved to Molineux from Bristol City in January 2023. The North London side are looking to replace Aaron Ramsdale who has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

Wolves consider Bentley to be a key member of their squad despite making only eight appearances for the club last season across all competitions. They are unlikely to part ways with the custodian unless they receive a substantial offer.

Earlier this week, Arsenal confirmed the permanent signing of David Raya from Brentford for a reported transfer fee of £30m ($38m). Since moving to Emirates Stadium on an initial loan deal last summer, the Spaniard became the first-choice custodian for Arteta.

The Premier League giants are expected to regroup and begin their pre-season next week. Later this month, they are scheduled to travel to the US where they will play friendly matches against Manchester United and Liverpool.
