Changes between the sticks at Old Trafford were expected this summer. Onana has failed to convince across two error-strewn seasons in England, leading to uncomfortable questions being asked of his future.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
United have left themselves open to offers while scouring the market for a new No.1. A pre-season injury picked up by Onana threw a spanner into the works, with the 29-year-old being overlooked at the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
According to GIVEMESPORT, Lammens’ imminent arrival does not mean that Onana will head through the exits. That is because, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Cameroonian custodian has no offers to consider.
WHAT NEXT FOR ONANA?
Windows in Turkey and Saudi Arabia will remain open 10 days beyond the September 1 deadline across much of Europe, meaning that there is time in which to do a deal, but for now, Onana remains focused on trying to earn a recall in Manchester.
