    THE BIGGER PICTURE

McKenna guided Ipswich to automatic promotion from the Championship this season, as they lost just six games all season, taking 96 points and finishing second only to Leicester. The Tractor Boys' manager is in demand; he is also being monitored by Manchester United and Brighton would like to hire him as a replacement for Roberto De Zerbi, whose departure was announced on Saturday.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Ipswich were playing in League One last season and McKenna has masterminded back-to-back promotions, although it remains to be seen if he would be willing to make such a huge jump to Stamford Bridge. Pochettino only signed a two-year contract upon his arrival and has hinted he could leave.
