Santi Rodriguez's Panenka, Matias Rojas' Inter Miami match winner among Leagues Cup's top goals of Round of 32

The Leagues Cup Round of 32 did not disappoint as there were plenty of exciting and memorable moments -- especially goals. Fans of Inter Miami, FC Cincinnati, and the Columbus Crew will be picking up their collective jaws after their teams managed to score some brilliant finishes.

Those teams join seven other MLS teams in the final 16: the Seattle Sounders, Philadelphia Union, San Jose Earthquakes, St. Louis CITY SC, Colorado Rapids, NYCFC and LAFC. Six Liga MX teams remain: Club America, Toluca, Pumas, Cruz Azul, Mazatlán, Tigres UANL.

Now, with the first knockout stage wrapped, GOAL ranks the top-six strikes from the Round of 32.

  • 6Mateusz Klich, DC United

Klich scored this missile late in the second half to earn D.C. United a goal back as they searched for a come-from-behind victory against Liga MX side Mazatlan. Unfortunately, they came up short, falling 2-1.

  • 5DeJuan Jones, Columbus Crew

    What a debut!

Following a massive intra-league transfer from the New England Revolution earlier this week, the U.S. international announced himself to Columbus fans with a goal. Just seconds after subbing onto the pitch, Jones bagged this brilliant effort en route to a 4-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City.

  • 4Simon Becher, St. Louis CITY SC

Becher, who arrived via transfer from Danish top-flight side AC Horsens this summer, scored his second goal for St. Louis CITY SC Friday as they defeated the Portland Timbers 3-1.

The 25-year-old flicked on this brilliant looping goal over Maxime Crepeau.

  • 3Santi Rodriguez, NYCFC

The cheekiest of attempts, Rodriguez scored this lovely panenka penalty kick attempt as New York City FC drew the New England Revolution 1-1 Friday. NYCFC advanced after a 7-6 victory in the ensuing penalty shootout, where Rodriguez also scored from the spot.

  • 2Luca Orellano, FC Cincinnati

Orellano, who was acquired on loan from Brazilian side Vasco da Gama ahead of the 2024 campaign, scored this belter for FC Cincinnati en-route to a 1-1 draw with Santos Laguna that saw FCC advance via a penalty shootout, 6-5.

  • 1Matias Rojas, Inter Miami

Paraguay international Rojas bagged a brace en route to a thrilling 4-3 Inter Miami victory over Toronto FC in the Round of 32. His second of the night, the match-winner, was this stunning long-range effort that saw them advance over their Canadian opposition.
