Liverpool are Premier League champions! Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister among the goals as Arne Slot's men come from behind to demolish Tottenham and equal Man Utd title record

Liverpool officially claimed the 2024-25 Premier League title as they beat struggling Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday. Dominic Solanke had given Spurs a shock early lead, but strikes from Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo quickly turned the game on its head. In the second-half, Mohamed Salah added a fourth for the hosts before a Destiny Udogie own goal made it 5-1.

There were fears for Liverpool in their first season without Jurgen Klopp at the helm since 2014-15. However, Arne Slot's Merseysiders led the title race from the early parts of the campaign ahead of Arsenal, while defending champions Manchester City suffered a dramatic loss of form and were never in the hunt. Liverpool are 15 points clear of Arsenal 1ith four games left to play.

While this is only Liverpool's second ever Premier League title, it lifts them above rivals Manchester United for the most English top-flight championships ever with 20.

With the title now safely secured, Liverpool will celebrate their victory with only four games left to fulfil. Their next fixture is an away meeting with Chelsea next Sunday.
