Nigeria rivals, Libya name 23-man squad for CHAN 2018

Libya head coach Omar Al Mariami has named his 23-man squad for this month's African Nations Championship in Morroco.

The Mediterranean Knights will be making a comeback to the competition after failing to appear at the last edition in Rwanda to defend the title they won in 2014.

And the gaffer will feature most players who participated in the 2017 Cecafa Challenge Cup held in Kenya including defender Ahmed El Trbi, who is an undergraduate and got the match winner against Ghana in South Africa three-year ago.

The list also includes Al Ahly Tripoli goalkeeper Mohammed Nashnoush, Abdelrahman Ramadan, Saleh Al-Taher and Motasem Abushnaf.

The north African side drawn in Group C and will open their 2018 CHAN campaign on January 15 against Equatorial Guinea in Tangier before taking on Nigeria and later Rwanda.
