Keagan Dolly Bafana Bafana vs Guinea-Bissau

Keagan Dolly is delighted to see Mokotjo and Erasmus back in the Bafana fold

Stand-in Bafana Bafana coach Owen Da Gama recalled Kamohelo Mokotjo and Kermit Erasmus for the two international friendlies against Guinea-Bissau and Angola.

The two players were constantly overlooked by former coach Shakes Mashaba, which subsequently saw them announce their retirement from international football.

However, following the sacking of Mashaba back in December 2016, the 26-year-old has once again chosen to don the famous yellow and green jersey along with Erasmus.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns playmaker Keagan Dolly is South Africa’s latest European export, and the 24-year-old has spoken of his delight to see the return of the foreign-based duo’s Bafana career.

“I was personally happy to see Kamohelo (Mokotjo) back in the team, as well as Kermit (Erasmus) because I have always looked up to these players. They have been playing in Europe and proving themselves. And with (Thulani) Serero, we built a relationship back at Ajax Cape Town and since then we have clicked,” Dolly told the Safa website.

“It’s always encouraging for me to come back home and play with these players and grow in the process, and playing with these players makes us want to reach the heights they have reached,” Dolly added.

Dolly has also praised the togetherness within the Bafana camp and believes it has boosted the morale in the team.

“Right now we are a happy camp and a very vibrant team. We just enjoy each other’s company. I joined the camp late and I could see everyone was happy and that gave [me] the boost I needed,” Dolly concluded.
